The creative process is one of many ups and downs. Anyone who has ever attempted writer, beginner or pro, will tell you the exact same thing: there are no short cuts in writing. It doesn't matter if it's poetry or if you're writing a thesis on nuclear bio weapons. Writing is hard and nothing is harder than writer's block. I mean nothing. Not even editing, or worse ... synopsis writing *shudder*

So, we here at the Company have decided to keep our authors well fed. Here are a few ideas we've thrown together to get your creative juices flowing.

IMPORTANT CHANGES!

Yikes! I used the scary C word. I have a friend who physically cringes every time CHANGE is mentioned. I hope we don't have anyone like that in the group. lol. Nevertheless, you can rest easy. These are good changes.

You might have noticed that we don't have a giveaway or promotion this week. This is because of the sheer volume of requests we get on a daily bases. Our one man operation can no longer be manned by a single person. Because of this, we have hired on some help. While the ropes are being learned and gears are tweaked, we will be temporarily down. Don't worry, it will only be for this single week. We will be up and running again for the next round. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we go through some growing pains and balance out.

What we're looking for:

Reviewers

We have literally over a hundred authors seeking honest reviews. Our Masterlist is incredible. Books of all genres just waiting to be loved. But also, if you have recently read a book you really loved and want your review (and the book) shared, we would love to do that as well.

Messengers

Help us by becoming a messenger of words. Help us share the giveaways, the authors, and the books. Each person will get a package of premade kits to share throughout the week.

Assistant

Unfortunately, there is only room for one of these at this time. This person would have to be familiar with the ins and outs of the book world. Should be able to speak fluent book-talk. Have a reasonably good nose for business and function independently.

Designer

We are already working with Airicka's Mystical Creations on all graphic needs, but occasionally, we might need a backup to pick up the slack.

Hey hey!

Welcome back! We here at The Black Unicorn Company hope you had a wonderful Christmas full of family and cake (not necessarily in that order). We took an unexpected week off due to the holidays as well as other unforeseen matters. But we're back now and ready to do what we do best!

The New Year is nearly upon us and with it, the chance to find new books to love and new authors to follow. Or the excitement of new releases by authors we already love.

Now, I don't know about you guys, but my list is infinitely long. I mean literally infinite. I would have to live a million lives to make even a tiny dent. I'm sure that's a 'problem' we all share.
